15 Surprising Stats About Item Upgrades

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The item upgrade feature lets players upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done through any upgrader for items NPC.

Generally upgrades increase an items main stat and can give it additional benefits based on the type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs or Goldwraps for caster builds.

Armour

Link's armor is a crucial element in keeping him safe from danger. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in various ways to enhance its defense capabilities.

Armour is designed to protect animals or people from harm or injury regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a variety of hazards posed by the environment or activities. Historically, armour was mostly made of leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were also used for military purposes, particularly like heavy cavalry and combat drones.

As with weapons, there are a number of ways in which armor can be upgraded however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades and more will provide higher levels of protection, and needing a higher amount of rupees and the materials needed to unlock.

First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been installed, they can't be removed unless you own another piece of gear with the same upgrade. You should only apply highest-level upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the materials required to complete them.

In terms of acquiring the upgrade components needed you'll find them in a variety of places around Hyrule, including shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They are typically marked by the blue triangle or gold circle and are available in large numbers as you progress. They can appear randomly, but there is a chance that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.

It's important to note that, even though the level offered by each upgrade could differ however, it will always be more than nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armor will give you a significant defense boost, which will shield you from all kinds of attacks except magic which makes it a very effective weapon for any class.

Weapons

If you want to make your guns unique, you can upgrade them with a variety of special upgrades. These upgrades can boost damage or alter the performance of the weapon in accordance with your particular build. They also allow new attachments like unique enchantments, different types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.

To upgrade a weapon, you'll need to have an upgrade component available and the item. The weapon has to be at a minimum of a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only take one upgrade.

You can find weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and even from the hands of enemies or purchased from vendors. The upgrade components themselves are a mix of ingredients that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or other impact while they're being used. They require equipment to be of a certain degree to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same way as other items.

The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of a base weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. These upgrades can be purchased from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They can also be obtained through combat.

There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon and an upgrade.

Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you won't replace soon. If you're playing a melee build, for example, upgrade your weapon first, then your chest and shoulders followed by your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on  item upgrading  of play, certain procs will be more useful than others. The same goes for Armour, with some reforges being superior to others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one item of magic at a time. If an upgrade project is canceled, any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Magic items that are upgraded cost double the amount of gold they normally cost to create or purchase however they may have extra advantages.

A magical item is an item that has some special properties or effects. These are typically weapons, but they could also be shields, armors or cloaks as well as potions.  item upgrades  could also be rings, scrolls or other items. Certain of these items can be made sentient.

Most magical items can be upgraded so that they are infused with additional abilities. This makes them more useful to players or aid them overcome a difficult encounter. A weapon that is infused with some special substance could, for instance, provide an extra level of damage to a particular kind of enemy. This is especially beneficial for characters who have reached the point where they're likely to encounter a particular type of monster in dungeons.

A ring infused by magic could provide immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or slash (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is especially useful for melee fighters or any person who wishes to stay clear of buying a shield.

Certain items enchanted by magic have special abilities that allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on the list of spells for their class. This is useful for those who are having trouble filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted items typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use them, and the spell is determined by rolling on a table that is based on the number Intelligence points expended.

Other enchanted objects might allow the character's appearance change or create a completely new one. These items are particularly useful for characters that have been forced to leave their home, or are located in an area where they may not be accepted. An enchanted item might give them an invisible effect, or make them invisible to anyone other than a selected person.

Utility Items

Utility items are equipment that do not fit into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons and have a range of different capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor and Clothing, no utility item can conflict with another. The majority of utility items have a passive effect that the player can activate by using them, but some have additional abilities that are triggered when the user presses the button or activates the ability.

The Flashlight is the most common utility item. It illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can instantly produce several useful items, while others are only available through Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the items that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items are upgradeable for more effective use.

The majority of utility items boost an individual combat ability or give the player a kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. Sharpening stones, made by the Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, made by a Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other useful items like Writs and Theses made by the Scribe, can be used to give players either a boost in damage or condition damage.

All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Later, an additional slot becomes available by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering research or other projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are added by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade is equipped in the main grenade slot.
